Create your CV in German
For applications in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, choose German as the CV language. Headings, language levels and labels such as “heute” appear in German automatically, and the cover letter follows the same style.
-
Tabular and without gaps
A German CV is usually tabular and in reverse chronological order, with no unexplained periods. The European and Professional templates suit it best.
-
Photo, place and date
An application photo is still common in Germany, but it is voluntary. You put the place and date in the cover letter.
-
Letter and attachments
An application usually contains a cover letter, a CV and certificates. You can write the letter here, in the same project.
-
CEFR language levels
List your languages according to the Common European Framework of Reference, from A1 to C2.
